Ingredients
- 1/2 tsp. ginger
- 1 Tbsp. minced onion
- 1/2 c. Karo dark corn syrup
- 2 (1 lb.) cans baked beans
- 1/2 lb. Canadian bacon, sliced
Method
- Mix ginger, onion and Karo and pour over beans in a 2 quart ovenproof casserole.
- Stir to mix well.
- Arrange bacon slices over top of beans.
- Bake at 400° for 1 hour or until bubbly.
- During baking, baste bacon slices often with juices in casserole to glaze.
- Makes 6 servings.
