- 1 pound Spaghetti Noodles
- 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
- 1 whole Onion, Chopped
- 6 cloves Garlic, Peeled And Minced
- 1 pound Lean Ground Beef
- 1 teaspoon Dried Oregano
- 1 teaspoon Ground Pepper
- 4 pieces Bay Leaves, Crushed
- 3 cans (15 Oz. Size) Plain Tomato Sauce
- 1 package Hotdogs Sliced 1/2 Inch Thick Diagonally (8 Or 10 Count)
- 1/2 cups Light Brown Sugar
- 1 pinch Salt For Taste Only
- 1/2 cups Grated Cheddar Cheese (optional)
Method
- Note: Instead of the plain tomato sauce, banana sauce is ideal (if you have it).
- If you use banana sauce, use 3 bottles of it, dissolved in 1 cup of water in place of the tomato sauce..
- Cook noodles according to package directions.
- Heat oil in pan on medium high heat.
- Add onion and stir until transparent.
- Add garlic and stir until fragrant.
- Add meat and once its cooked (brown) add oregano, pepper and bay leaves.
- Stir until well blended.
- Add tomato (or banana) sauce and bring to a boil.
- Lower heat, add hotdogs and brown sugar and let it simmer for 20 minutes covered.
- Taste and add salt if needed.
- Sprinkle with cheese on top.
