Ingredients

  • 1 pound Spaghetti Noodles
  • 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 1 whole Onion, Chopped
  • 6 cloves Garlic, Peeled And Minced
  • 1 pound Lean Ground Beef
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Oregano
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Pepper
  • 4 pieces Bay Leaves, Crushed
  • 3 cans (15 Oz. Size) Plain Tomato Sauce
  • 1 package Hotdogs Sliced 1/2 Inch Thick Diagonally (8 Or 10 Count)
  • 1/2 cups Light Brown Sugar
  • 1 pinch Salt For Taste Only
  • 1/2 cups Grated Cheddar Cheese (optional)

Method

  • Note: Instead of the plain tomato sauce, banana sauce is ideal (if you have it).
  • If you use banana sauce, use 3 bottles of it, dissolved in 1 cup of water in place of the tomato sauce..
  • Cook noodles according to package directions.
  • Heat oil in pan on medium high heat.
  • Add onion and stir until transparent.
  • Add garlic and stir until fragrant.
  • Add meat and once its cooked (brown) add oregano, pepper and bay leaves.
  • Stir until well blended.
  • Add tomato (or banana) sauce and bring to a boil.
  • Lower heat, add hotdogs and brown sugar and let it simmer for 20 minutes covered.
  • Taste and add salt if needed.
  • Sprinkle with cheese on top.
