Ingredients
- 2-4 filet mignons
- olive oil
- kosher salt
- ground black pepper
- garlic powder
- butter
- 1 large yellow onion
- 1 T sherry wine
- prepared pub-style horseradish cream sauce
Method
- Slice onion very thin. Heat butter and olive oil in pan. Add onions. Simmer on low for 1 hour.
- Season filets with salt, pepper, garlic powder and olive oil on both sides. Sear filets on both sides on hot grill pan. Place filets in preheated oven for desired doneness.
- After simmering onions for 1 hour, raise heat to med-high. Stir onions untill they reach carmel color. Add wine and a dash of salt. Simmer low 5 mins.
- Serve carmelized onions over filet with horseradish cream sauce on the side.
