Ingredients
- 3 c. flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 c. shortening
- 3 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 1 Tbsp. cold water
- 1 egg, beaten
Method
- Sift flour and salt together.
- Cut in shortening just until evenly crumbly.
- Add lemon juice, water and well beaten egg and mix lightly.
- Roll out quickly and bake in a hot oven at 450°. Makes 2 double crust pies.
- May be stored in waxed paper and in the refrigerator for a week or two.
