Ingredients
- 1 c. egg whites
- dash of salt
- 1 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1 c. sifted flour
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. flavoring
Method
- Beat egg whites until foamy.
- Add cream of tartar; beat until stiff but not dry.
- Mix flour and sugar together; add to egg whites.
- Put flavoring in.
- Bake at 300° for 50 minutes.
- Turn oven off; leave cake in for 10 minutes longer.
