Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. Karo syrup (light or dark)
  • 1/3 c. evaporated milk
  • 18 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 3/4 c. sifted confectioners sugar
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 1/2 c. chopped nuts

Method

  • Line 8-inch square pan with plastic wrap.
  • In a 3-quart microwavable bowl, combine Karo syrup and evaporated milk and stir until blended.
  • Microwave on High setting for 3 minutes.
  • Stir in chocolate chips until melted.
  • Stir in vanilla, confectioners sugar and nuts.
  • Blend together with spoon until thick and glossy. Spread into pan and refrigerate until firm (about 2 hours minimum).
