Ingredients
- 1 c. (2 sticks) butter or margarine
- 2 c. sugar
- 4 eggs
- 5 to 6 (about 2 c.) ripe bananas
- 2 1/2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 2 tsp. baking soda
- 2 tsp. cornstarch
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. sour cream
- 1 c. chopped walnuts
Method
- Preheat oven to 350°.
- Cream butter, sugar, eggs and bananas and beat until blended.
- Sift flour, baking powder, baking soda, cornstarch and salt, and add alternately with sour cream to banana mixture.
- Blend until smooth.
- Add nuts.
- Bake in a greased, floured pan, large loaf 55 minutes; 2 small loaves, 45 minutes.
