- 1 (32 oz.) pkg. hash brown potatoes, thawed
- 1/2 stick butter or oleo, softened
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 1 (12 oz.) pkg. grated American or sharp cheese
- 1/2 small onion, chopped
- 1 (8 oz.) sour cream
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 2 c. corn flakes, crushed (for top)
- 1/2 stick melted butter or oleo (for top)
Method
- Mix potatoes, soup, 1/2 stick melted butter or oleo, sour cream, grated cheese, onion, salt and pepper.
- Mix; place in 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
- Top with crushed corn flakes.
- Pour melted butter over and bake, uncovered, for 45 minutes at 350°.
