Ingredients
- 5 Tbsp. butter
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 egg, separated
- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 2 1/4 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/2 c. milk
Method
- Cream butter.
- Add sugar gradually until fluffy.
- Blend in egg yolk; mix well.
- Sift dry ingredients; add to creamed mixture, alternately with milk.
- Fold in beaten egg white.
- Fill greased muffin pans 2/3 full.
- Bake at 325° for 20 to 25 minutes.
- While hot, dip tops in melted butter, then in mixture of 1/2 cup sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon.
