Ingredients
- 2 qt. elderberries, crushed
- 6 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. vinegar
Method
- Combine berries, sugar and vinegar in a large pot.
- Bring slowly to a boil, stirring until sugar dissolves.
- Cook rapidly until thick, stirring frequently.
- Pour into hot jars, leaving 1/4-inch headroom; seal.
- Process in boiling water bath for 15 minutes.
- Makes about 3 pints.
