Ingredients
- 1 pkg. yeast
- 1 c. warm water
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 2 1/4 c. flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 egg
- 2 Tbsp. butter
Method
- Soften yeast in warm water; add sugar.
- Mix flour and salt and add 1/2 this mixture to yeast mixture.
- Mix well with wooden spoon until smooth.
- Add egg and softened butter; mix well.
- Add remaining flour.
- Cover and let rise in warm place until doubled. Stir down and spoon into 12 well-greased muffin cups.
- Let rise. Bake at 400° for approximately 15 minutes.
