Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. yeast
  • 1 c. warm water
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 2 1/4 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 egg
  • 2 Tbsp. butter

Method

  • Soften yeast in warm water; add sugar.
  • Mix flour and salt and add 1/2 this mixture to yeast mixture.
  • Mix well with wooden spoon until smooth.
  • Add egg and softened butter; mix well.
  • Add remaining flour.
  • Cover and let rise in warm place until doubled. Stir down and spoon into 12 well-greased muffin cups.
  • Let rise. Bake at 400° for approximately 15 minutes.
