Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 c. unsifted flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • soft butter

Method

  • In a bowl, beat eggs with milk, flour and salt until smooth and the consistency of heavy cream.
  • Heavily butter custard cups or popover pans and fill each about 2/3 full of batter.
  • Bake in preheated hot oven (425°) for 30 to 35 minutes or until puffed and brown.
  • Serve at once with butter or marmalade.
