Ingredients
- 12 slices bread
- 1 qt. milk
- 6 eggs
- 1 c. grated cheese
- 1 c. cubed ham
- salt and pepper
Method
- Beat eggs; add salt, pepper and milk.
- Cut crust from bread; butter one side.
- Butter a 9 x 12-inch Pyrex dish.
- Place 6 slices of bread (buttered side down) in the dish.
- Cover with grated cheese and ham.
- Place remaining slices of bread (buttered side up) on top.
- Pour egg mixture over all.
- Refrigerate, covered, overnight.
- Bake for 1 hour at 350°, uncovered, in pan of water.
