Method

  • Fry your minced meat on medium/high heat and season with salt and pepper and dry paprika. When nicely browned set aside for later. Grate your carrot and parsnip and chop your onions into small pieces. Fry on medium heat with butter, garlic, black and white pepper, chilli and with the herbs.
  • When ready combine with the meat on the pan and add your wine (all alcohol cooks out so it should be ok to give to children). Let it simmer for about 2-3 minutes.
  • Add your tomato paste and tinned tomatoes and season with sugar. Let it simmer on low heat and add water when necessary bit by bit. After about 30 minutes add the red beans, corn and let a chocolate bite or powder melt in the meal (might be fun for the kids).
  • Serve with your side of preference (pasta, rice, mashed potatoes).
