Ingredients

  • 4 to 6 center cut pork chops
  • 4 to 6 large Idaho potatoes
  • 4 coin sliced carrots
  • 1 envelope onion soup mix
  • 1 stick margarine or butter
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper

Method

  • In a 2 to 3-quart casserole dish, slice and evenly space 1 stick of margarine or butter.
  • Peel, then thinly slice potatoes and layer over the bottom of dish.
  • Spread carrot coins over potatoes. Place browned pork chops over carrots.
  • Prepare onion soup packet with water as directed, then pour over pork chops.
  • Add salt and pepper.
  • Cover with foil; bake at 375° for 1 hour, or until liquid is absorbed.
