Ingredients
- 4 c. sliced peaches
- 1/2 c. soft margarine
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 c. flour
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. cornstarch
- 1 c. boiling water
Method
- Place peaches in an 8 x 10-inch casserole dish. Set aside. Cream the margarine and gradually add 3/4 cup sugar.
- Beat well. Add flour to creamed mixture and mix well. Stir in milk and vanilla.
- Pour batter over peaches.
- Combine the remaining 3/4 cup sugar and cornstarch.
- Stir in boiling water, stirring until sugar melts.
- Pour over batter. Bake at 375° for 45 minutes.
