- Sauce:
- 18 oz can tomato paste
- 4 1/2 cups water
- 3 teaspoons dry onion flakes
- 1 1/2 teaspoons brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon basil
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon garlic
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 2 beef boullion cubes
- 1/4 cup chopped parsley
- 2 tablespoons grated cheese
- Meatballs:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup soft breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup of the sauce
- 1/4 cup grated cheese
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon garlic
Method
- Sauce:
- Add all ingredients expect cheese into a 2 quart saucepan. Cover and cook for 20 minutes at a simmer. Add cheese
- Meatballs:
- Mix well and form 16 balls. Brown in a skillet, drain fat. Add 1 cup of sauce and cover and simmer for 20 minutes
