Ingredients

  • Sauce:
  • 18 oz can tomato paste
  • 4 1/2 cups water
  • 3 teaspoons dry onion flakes
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon basil
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 2 beef boullion cubes
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley
  • 2 tablespoons grated cheese
  • Meatballs:
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup soft breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup of the sauce
  • 1/4 cup grated cheese
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic

Method

  • Sauce:
  • Add all ingredients expect cheese into a 2 quart saucepan. Cover and cook for 20 minutes at a simmer. Add cheese
  • Meatballs:
  • Mix well and form 16 balls. Brown in a skillet, drain fat. Add 1 cup of sauce and cover and simmer for 20 minutes
