Ingredients

  • 4 slices bacon
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 2 cans (1 lb each) pork & beans or vegetarian beans
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 3 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • garlic powder

Method

  • Saute 4 slices bacon
  • Add 1/4 cup chopped onion and continue to saute until bacon is crisp. Drain fat. Dice bacon. Combine bacon, onion, 2 cans of beans, ketchup, worcestershire sauce, brown sugar and a dash of garlic powder. Pour into a 1 quart casserole dish. Bake uncovered at 375 degrees for 50-55 minutes or until beans are hot. Stir occassionally.
