Ingredients
- 1 can cherry or other fruit pie filling
- 1 box white or yellow cake mix
- 1/2 c. pecans, chopped
- 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 1/8 to 1/4 lb. butter
Method
- Place pie filling in an 8 x 8-inch baking dish.
- Sprinkle cake mix on top of filling.
- Spread nuts on next.
- Sprinkle brown sugar on top.
- Dot with butter.
- Bake at 350° for 35 to 45 minutes or until cake tests done.
- Serve warm or cold with ice cream or whipped cream.
- Freezes nicely.
