Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. yellow
  • white cake mix
  • 2 cans Comstock Instant Cherry Pie
  • 2 cubes butter, melted
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 container Cool Whip

Method

  • In a 9x13-inch ungreased baking pan, pour cans of pie-filling and spread evenly.
  • Sprinkle cinnamon over the pie filling.
  • Dump dry cake mix over the pie filling and distribute equally.
  • Make little indentations with a spoon over all the dry cake mix.
  • Spoon melted butter in each little indentation.
  • Sprinkle chopped walnuts over the top of all.
  • Bake at 350F for 45 minutes, or until browned lightly on top.
  • Cool and serve in dessert cups topped with Cool Whip.
