Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. Pillsbury lemon cake mix
  • 1/2 c. butter, melted
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • 1 pkg. Pillsbury lemon frosting mix
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened

Method

  • Mix with fork the first 3 ingredients.
  • Pat into 13 x 9-inch or 10 x 15-inch pan, grease bottom only.
  • Blend frosting and cream cheese (reserve 1/2 cup for topping).
  • Add 2 eggs and beat 2 to 5 minutes.
  • Spread over cake mixture.
  • Bake at 350° for 30 to 40 minutes.
  • Cool and spread with 1/2 cup of the reserved frosting mixture.
  • Cut in squares.
