Ingredients

  • 4 slices bacon, cooked crisp
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 2 (16 oz.) cans pork and beans in tomato sauce
  • 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. ketchup
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. prepared mustard

Method

  • Cook bacon until crisp.
  • Remove bacon, reserving 3 tablespoons of drippings in skillet.
  • Crumble bacon and set aside.
  • Cook onion in drippings until tender.
  • Stir in beans, brown sugar, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce and prepared mustard.
  • Turn into a 1 1/2-quart casserole dish.
  • Bake, uncovered, in 350° oven for 1 1/2 hours.
  • Stir and top with bacon.
