Ingredients
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 box powdered sugar
- 8 oz. cream cheese
- 1/2 c. oleo
- 1 c. flake coconut
- 1 c. chopped walnuts or pecans
- 1 whole German chocolate or Swiss chocolate cake mix (no pudding)
Method
- Prepare cake mix as directed on box.
- Grease and lightly flour 9 x 13-inch cake pan (do not use smaller).
- In separate bowl, cream the cream cheese, oleo and sugar.
- Set aside.
- Sprinkle all coconut on bottom of greased pan.
- Set aside.
- Pour cake mix over coconut and nuts.
- With teaspoon, dollop cream cheese mixture over cake mix.
- Bake at 350° for 30 to 40 minutes.
- Cream cheese will sink into cake as it bakes causing the cake to crack.
- Looks like a disaster, tastes like nuthin you've ever tasted.
