Ingredients

  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 box powdered sugar
  • 8 oz. cream cheese
  • 1/2 c. oleo
  • 1 c. flake coconut
  • 1 c. chopped walnuts or pecans
  • 1 whole German chocolate or Swiss chocolate cake mix (no pudding)

Method

  • Prepare cake mix as directed on box.
  • Grease and lightly flour 9 x 13-inch cake pan (do not use smaller).
  • In separate bowl, cream the cream cheese, oleo and sugar.
  • Set aside.
  • Sprinkle all coconut on bottom of greased pan.
  • Set aside.
  • Pour cake mix over coconut and nuts.
  • With teaspoon, dollop cream cheese mixture over cake mix.
  • Bake at 350° for 30 to 40 minutes.
  • Cream cheese will sink into cake as it bakes causing the cake to crack.
  • Looks like a disaster, tastes like nuthin you've ever tasted.
