Ingredients
- 1 c. crushed pecans
- 1 1/2 c. coconut
- 1 German chocolate cake mix
- 1 cube oleo
- 1 (8 oz.) cream cheese
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 lb. powdered sugar
Method
- Grease and flour 9 x 13-inch pan.
- Sprinkle pecans, then coconut on bottom of pan.
- Prepare cake mix as directed on box, then pour over pecans and coconut.
- Beat oleo, cream cheese until smooth, then add vanilla and powdered sugar and beat until well blended.
- Spoon mixture in large heaping spoonfuls on top of cake, avoiding the sides of the pan.
- Bake at 350° for 55 minutes.
- Cake will seem not done, but as it cools, it sets.
