Ingredients

  • 3 3/4 c. sifted flour
  • 3 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 1/2 c. margarine
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 1/2 c. chunky peanut butter
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 3/4 c. chocolate chips

Method

  • Sift together flour, soda and salt.
  • Set aside.
  • Beat together margarine, sugars, eggs and vanilla until fluffy.
  • Blend in peanut butter.
  • Add dry ingredients.
  • Stir in chocolate chips.
  • Shape into balls, using 1 tablespoon of dough.
  • Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
  • Flatten with glass dipped in sugar.
  • Bake in a 350° oven for 8 to 10 minutes, until lightly browned.
  • Makes 5 1/2 dozen.
