Ingredients
- 1 c. mashed potatoes
- 1 c. hot potato water
- 1 c. melted lard or Crisco
- 2/3 c. sugar
- flour, enough for stiff dough
- 1 pkg. Fleischmann's yeast
- 1 c. warm water
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 2 eggs, well beaten
Method
- Stir together potatoes, hot potato water, lard and sugar. Cool.
- Add yeast dissolved in water.
- Mix together and let set for 2 hours.
- Add salt, eggs and flour.
- Mix well and knead on floured board.
- Put in refrigerator overnight.
- When ready to use, roll out about 1/2 inch thick.
- Place in greased pan, also greasing each biscuit.
- Put in warm place and let rise 2 or 3 hours.
- Bake in moderate oven.
