Ingredients
- 3 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. water
- dash of salt
- 1/2 c. white Karo
- 2 egg whites
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Method
- Cook sugar, water, Karo and salt to soft ball stage. While this is cooking, beat egg whites. Pour 1/2 of cooked mixture into beaten egg whites and continue beating while the other half of the mixture cooks to hard ball (or crackle) stage.
- Pour into mixture and beat until it loses its gloss.
- Pour immediately into buttered dish.
- Make on a clear day.
