Ingredients
- 6 Tbsp. shortening
- 3 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 c. hot water
- 1 pkg. yeast
- 1 beaten egg
- 1/2 c. water
- 3 1/2 to 4 c. flour
Method
- Add 1 cup hot water to melted shortening.
- Mix 1 package yeast and 1/2 cup water.
- Add 1 beaten egg to yeast mixture.
- Combine all ingredients together.
- Add flour.
- Mix well with wire beater or electric mixer.
- Place in bowl in warm place.
- Cover with towel. Let rise twice its size.
- Punch down.
- Roll out and cut with biscuit cutter.
- Spray cookie sheet with Pam.
- Place rolls on it. Cover with towel; let rise again.
- Bake at 400° for 15 to 20 minutes.
