Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. yeast
  • 1/4 c. warm water
  • 1 c. creamed cottage cheese
  • 1 Tbsp. instant minced onion
  • 2 tsp. dill weed
  • 1/4 tsp. soda
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 egg (unbeaten)
  • 2 1/2 c. flour

Method

  • Soften yeast
  • in
  • water and set aside.
  • Combine cottage cheese, onion, dill
  • weed,
  • soda,
  • sugar, butter and salt. Mix egg with yeast
  • and
  • combine all using electric mixer; beat in flour. Knead and
  • let rise until doubled in size.
  • Stir dough down and knead
  • again.
  • Turn
  • into well-greased 8-inch round 2 quart casserole, let rise
  • again.
  • Bake
  • at
  • 350° for 40 to 45 minutes until brown.
  • Brush with additional soft butter.
