Ingredients
- 1 gal. cucumbers
- fresh dill heads
- red peppers
- small onion
- 2 or 3 cloves garlic
- 1 pt. vinegar
- 3 pt. water
- 1/2 c. canning salt
- grape leaf
Method
- Wash cucumbers.
- Cover with water and soak overnight in refrigerator.
- Drain and dry.
- Put grape leaf in bottom of jar; add 3 heads of dill, garlic, red pepper and onions.
- Pack cucumbers in jars.
- Bring vinegar, 3 pints of water and canning salt to a boil. Pour over cucumbers and seal.
- Do not open for 6 weeks.
