Ingredients

  • 2 lb. round steak, cut in 2-inch pieces
  • 1 to 3 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. paprika
  • 1/2 c. oil
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 can mushroom soup
  • 1 3/4 c. cooked onions
  • celery seed

Method

  • Coat steak with flour and paprika.
  • Brown in oil in skillet. Add salt, pepper and 1 cup water.
  • Simmer, covered, for 30 minutes, or until tender.
  • Place in casserole.
  • Heat soup in pan drippings, blending in 3/4 cup water.
  • Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
  • Combine with meat mixture and onions; mix well.
  • Top with celery seed.
  • Bake at 350° until bubbly.
