Ingredients
- 1 c. Crisco
- 2 c. sugar (1 c. at a time)
- 4 eggs (1 at a time)
- 3 c. plain flour
- 1 c. milk
- 1 Tbsp. vanilla
- 1 Tbsp. lemon
- 1 tsp. baking powder
Method
- Preheat oven to 300°.
- Cream shortening and sugar.
- Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each one.
- Sift flour and baking powder together and add alternately with milk, starting with flour and ending with flour.
- Add flavorings and mix well.
- Bake in a 10-inch greased and floured tube pan for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until done.
