Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 6 oz. can tomato paste
  • 2 oz. can undrained mushrooms
  • 1 tsp. oregano
  • 1 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • refrigerated country biscuits
  • 1 tomato, sliced
  • 4 oz. pkg. Mozzarella or Cheddar cheese.

Method

  • Preheat oven to 350°.
  • Brown ground beef and onion.
  • Stir in tomato paste, mushrooms, oregano, salt and pepper.
  • Simmer all these ingredients.
  • Press refrigerated country biscuits into greased 9-inch pie pan to form crust.
  • Spoon mixture into crust. Slice 1 tomato and arrange it atop this pie.
  • Sprinkle with Mozzarella or Cheddar cheese.
  • Bake at 350° for 20 to 25 minutes, until golden brown.
