Ingredients

  • 1 lb. Italian sausage
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. basil leaves
  • pinch of oregano
  • 2 (6 oz.) cans tomato paste
  • 10 oz. lasagne noodles
  • 8 oz. Ricotta cheese
  • 1/2 c. Romano cheese, grated
  • 2 Tbsp. parsley flakes
  • 1 lb. thin-sliced Mozzarella cheese

Method

  • Brown sausage slowly with garlic, salt and pepper.
  • Drain fat. Add basil, oregano and tomato paste along with enough water to make a medium-thick sauce.
  • Simmer for 15 minutes, stirring often.
