Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. all-bran
  • 1 c. oats
  • 1 c. wheat germ
  • 1/2 to 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 c. milk powder
  • 1 c. sour or buttermilk
  • 1 c. honey
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 c. oil
  • 1 c. flour
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. baking soda

Method

  • Combine first 5 ingredients.
  • Add sour or buttermilk and let stand for 1/2 hour.
  • Combine eggs, oil and honey and add to first mixture.
  • Beat well.
  • Sift together flour, baking powder and soda and add all at once to egg mixture.
  • Stir until well-moistened. Fill muffin pans.
  • Bake at 400° for 15 to 20 minutes.
