Ingredients
- 4 qts dandelion flowers
- 4 qts boiling water
- 1 cake yeast
- 3 lbs granulated sugar
- 3 oranges, diced
- 3 lemons, diced
Method
- Select fresh flowers and be sure all bitter stems are removed.
- Pour boiling water over the flowers and let stand for 3 days.
- Drain and add remaining ingredients.
- Let stand covered for 3 weeks at room temperature (70-75 degrees) until fermented. Strain into bottles and seal. When first bottled, place wad of cotton in bottle to be sure liquid has finished working.
- Takes at least 6 more months to mature.
