Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 to 2 lb. yellow squash in 3/4-inch cubes
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. Accent
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • little black pepper
  • 1 pkg. chicken flavored stuffing mix or 1 1/2 to 2 c. seasoned cracker crumbs
  • 8 oz. sour cream
  • 1/2 stick butter
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 small jar pimentos, drained
  • 1 can sliced water chestnuts
  • 1/2 c. water

Method

  • Melt butter in skillet; saute onion.
  • Add squash and water. Cover and steam for 5 to 8 minutes.
  • Add sugar, Accent, salt and pepper.
