Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef, turkey, or chicken
  • Lasagna noodles
  • 1 jar spaghetti sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups cottage cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tbsp grated parmesan cheese

Method

  • Brown the meat in a pan and drain
  • Spoon 1 cup of the spaghetti sauce into a 4 qt crock pot. Mix the remaining sauce with the meat.
  • Place 2 uncooked lasagna noodles into the crock pot. Spread 1/3 of the meat mixture over the noodles
  • Spread 3/4 cup cottage cheese over the meat. Then sprinkle 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese on top
  • Add another layer of uncooked noodles, 1/3 of the meat mixture, the remaining cottage cheese, and 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese
  • Place another layer of uncooked noodles and the rest of the meat mixture and mozzarella cheese. Sprinkle parmesan cheese on top
  • Cook on low for 4 hours. Do NOT cook for more than 4 hours or it will become overdone
