Ingredients

  • 2 lb Grd beef
  • 3/4 cup Cooked rice
  • 1 Lge egg
  • 1 Onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp Salt and pepper
  • 1 large head cabbage
  • 1 can Tomato soup
  • 1 can 14oz - tomatoes
  • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon

Method

  • Remove leaves from head of cabbage gently, trying to keep them whole
  • Scald these in boiling salt water, just long enough to wilt,
  • Set these on paper towels to cool .
  • In lge bowl prepare meat mixture: meat, rice, egg, onion, salt and pepper, mix well
  • Place about 1/4 cup meat mixture in center of each leaf, fold over sides and roll ends over meat, secure with wooden toothpicks
  • Place in crockpot
  • Combine tomato soup, tomatoes, cinnamon, salt and pepper, pour over cabbage rolls.
  • Cover and cook on low 7-9 hrs
  • You can toss in any excess cabbage too
