Ingredients

  • 6 c. thinly sliced, peeled potatoes
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine, melted
  • 1 (4 oz.) pkg. shredded Cheddar cheese (1 c.)
  • 1/2 c. fresh bread crumbs

Method

  • About 30 minutes before serving, preheat oven to 425°.
  • In greased 9 x 13-inch baking pan, toss potatoes and salt together; arrange in even layers.
  • Drizzle melted butter or margarine over potatoes.
  • Sprinkle cheese over potatoes and sprinkle with bread crumbs.
  • Bake 20 minutes or until fork-tender.
  • Makes 10 servings.
