Ingredients

  • 3/4 c. Crisco
  • 1 c. chopped fine pecans
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 egg, separated

Method

  • Cream sugar and Crisco. Add egg yolk, 1/2 cup pecans, vanilla, cinnamon and flour. You will have to use your hands after flour is added. Pat dough in well-greased cookie pan 1/4-inch deep. Brush with slightly beaten egg white and sprinkle the rest of pecans and pat down. Bake 20 minutes in preheated 375° oven. This recipe can be cut in squares when baked.
