Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. cream cheese
  • 1 lb. ground beef, cooked
  • 1/2 c. chopped celery
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 1/2 tsp. basil leaves
  • 1/2 c. chopped green pepper
  • 1 medium tomato
  • 1 c. (8 oz.) tomato sauce
  • 2 c. uncooked noodles
  • 1/2 c. cottage cheese

Method

  • Soften cream cheese; set aside. Combine meat, onion, celery and green pepper. Microwave on High for 4 to 6 minutes until meat is done. Prepare noodles. Prepare vegetables. Mix vegetables and meat together; set aside.
  • Stir together tomato sauce, noodles, meat and vegetables.
  • Bake at 350° for 1/2 hour until tender. Top off with sliced tomatoes.
