Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp. margarine
  • 3 c. coarsely shredded cabbage
  • 2 medium onions, chopped
  • 10 slices bacon, cooked, drained and crumbled
  • 1 (10 1/2 oz.) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 c. evaporated milk
  • 1 c. water
  • paprika

Method

  • In a 3-quart saucepan over medium heat, in hot butter, cook cabbage and onions until tender, stirring occasionally.
  • Add bacon; cook 2 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Stir in soup, milk and water until smooth.
  • Heat through, stirring occasionally. Ladle into bowls; sprinkle with paprika.
