Ingredients

  • 12 ears corn
  • 1/2 c. butter or margarine
  • 2 tsp. sugar
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 c. water
  • 2 c. milk
  • 2 Tbsp. flour, dissolved in 1/4 c. water

Method

  • Cut corn from the cob and place in pan.
  • Add margarine, sugar, salt and pepper.
  • Simmer gently for 15 minutes.
  • Add milk and flour mixture.
  • Cook on medium-low heat for 30 minutes, stirring to prevent sticking.
  • If mixture becomes too thick, add additional milk or water.
