Ingredients
- 1 1/2 c. margarine
- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
- 3 c. sugar
- 3 1/2 c. flour
- 6 eggs
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. lemon extract
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Method
- Soften margarine and cream cheese; blend until smooth.
- Add sugar gradually.
- Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Sift flour and baking powder together and add to cream mixture, about 1/3 cup at a time.
- Add flavorings.
- Bake in a well-greased 10-inch tube pan for 1 hour and 20 minutes in a 325° oven.
- Let stay in pan for 5 minutes, then turn out.
- Cool on rack until cool.
