Ingredients
- 1 (16 oz.) can pears
- 1 c. butter or margarine
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 4 1/2 c. plain flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 c. raisins
- 1 c. chopped walnuts
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 2 eggs
Method
- Drain pears and reserve syrup.
- Finely dice pears.
- Cream butter, sugar and brown sugar until light.
- Blend in eggs and vanilla.
- Sift in flour, baking powder, soda, salt and cinnamon. Add 1/2 cup pear syrup.
- Stir in pears, raisins and walnuts.
