- 2 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 c. milk
- 1 c. cocoa (for chocolate cake)
- 3/4 c. oil
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 3 c. flour
- 1 c. boiling water
- 3 c. flour
- 2 c. sugar
- 6 Tbsp. Hershey's dark chocolate (powder)
- 2 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 12 Tbsp. cooking oil
- 2 Tbsp. cider vinegar
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 2 c. ice water
Method
- Preheat oven to 350°.
- Grease pan(s).
- Do not flour.
- Sift dry ingredients.
- Make 3 holes in dry mixture.
- In first hole, pour oil; in second hole, pour vinegar; in third hole, pour vanilla. Pour ice water over all.
- Stir with fork until evenly blended. Bake 35 to 40 minutes at 350° layer or sheet cake only.
- Will not do well in Bundt pan.
