Ingredients
- 1 lb. hamburg
- 4 to 5 cloves garlic
- 3 to 4 beef bouillon cubes
- 1 tsp. pepper
- 2 to 3 stalks celery
- 1 to 2 qt. tomatoes
- 1 can kidney beans
- 1/2 head cabbage
Method
- Chop celery and cabbage.
- Brown hamburg.
- Add celery, garlic and tomatoes.
- One or 2 quarts of tomatoes can be used, but add equal amounts of water.
- Dissolve bouillon cubes in mixture; add kidney beans, with juice.
- Season with pepper; add cabbage.
- Simmer for 2 to 3 hours.
