- Corned beef
- Peppercorns
- Garlic
- Basil
- Thyme
- Nutmeg
- Cloves
- Bay Leaf
- Soy Sauce
- Worcestershire Sauce
- Can of beer
- Carrots
- Potatoes
- Cabbage
Method
- Put the corned beef in a large pot and cover with water. Bring to a boil and add spices to taste.
- Reduce to a strong simmer and add 1 tsp. Soy sauce, 1-1/2 tsp. Worcestershire, and a can of beer; mix well and cover.
- Add carrots,
- potatoes and cabbage wedges for the last hour of cooking.
