Ingredients
- 1 1/2 c. cornmeal
- 1/2 c. flour
- 4 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. milk
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/4 c. melted fat or oil
Method
- Mix cornmeal, flour, baking powder and salt. Mix together milk and egg. Add oil or fat. Add milk mixture to cornmeal mixture. Stir only enough to mix. Fill greased 9-inch square or 6 x 10-inch baking pan half full. Bake at 400° to 425° for 25 minutes or until browned. Makes 6 servings.
